ATTENTION ALL NEW ENGLAND RESIDENTS!
The images in the photoset above are of my cat, Frankie (who also responds to Sora.) He is in desperate need of a new home before the end of the month. We are looking into some reputable shelters but they have waiting lists and we don’t have a lot of time, and I would like to see him placed in a home rather than a shelter. He currently lives in Worcester County in Massachusetts and I am willing to travel to most parts of New England if it helps him find a good home (hell if I had the money I would fly him across the world to make sure he had a good home.)
Frankie is polydactyl, with a ‘thumb’ on each of his front paws. He is 9 years old but still energetic and playful. He is very quiet and likes spending most of the day napping throughout the house. He loves catnip and his favorite toys are strings or feathers. He loves snuggling and getting his ears scratched, and while he hates most of my music, he loves Kanye West (idek, I barely play Kanye but he gets really excited whenever I play “Gold Digger” for him.)
He understands a lot of English and can follow simple instructions (for example if I say: “I’ll feed you in a second, go sit on your chair and wait. *points at chair*” He’ll huff and go sit on the chair I bought for him.) He knows a few spanish words but he doesn’t respond as well to them.
He is also a very good alarm clock. If I sleep through my alarm he’ll wake me up by meowing, and if that doesn’t wake me up he’ll tap my face until I do.
He is the nosy neighbor. If someone outside starts making a ruckus you better believe he will bolt for the window to watch. He likes to know everyone’s business and will rush to watch people leave and come home.
Also this cat loves, loves, LOVES being brushed. I use a comb to brush him and its favorite thing in the world. When I’m not using it to brush him he treats it like a toy. All I have to do it run my fingers along the prongs and he’ll come BOLTING from wherever he is.
He is an indoor cat and has spent his whole life indoors. You don’t have to worry about him bolting out a door, he’ll hide under a couch before he’ll exit the building unless it leads to a balcony. Despite living indoors he is a decent hunter. We had mice at one point and he was good at catching them, but he won’t eat them. He treats mice like toys, will bat them around and carry them in his mouth, then set them down so he can chase again. They never had a scratch on them when I finally caught them and released them. So while I wouldn’t worry about him eating small animals, I would definitely supervise any interaction. He gets along with other cats but takes a bit to warm up, he may growl in warning but has never gotten into a fight in his life. He lived with a papillion once without any issues, but he has never had any interactions with large dogs.
If you have any interest in adopting Frankie or know of anyone who would like to adopt him, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
This is my baby and he means the world to me and I just want to make sure he is safe, healthy, and happy, please help. If you cannot adopt him yourself, spread the word, signal boost this, let your friends and neighbors know there is a kitty looking for a good home.
Whoever reblogs this will get a Thank You photo sent to their inbox.
